Impact
Case Study #1
Challenge: A national nonprofit piloted new food packaging and wraparound service models to better meet the needs of children and families facing food insecurity. They needed a comprehensive evaluation to assess feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and overall impact across multiple states.
Our Role: We led a mixed-methods evaluation, including survey design, interviews, focus groups, and in-person data collection at events across the U.S. Our work ensured the voices of families and local partners were central to the findings and informed practical improvements.
Impact: The final report provided data-driven recommendations for scaling and refining the program. The organization used these insights to shape its national strategy and enhance family-centered food access.
Case Study #2
Challenge: A statewide initiative needed support evaluating a diverse portfolio of community-based programs focused on nutrition, wellness, and access to healthy foods. Consistency, clarity, and strategic insight were lacking across partners.
Our Role: We oversaw multiple evaluations, bringing structure to data collection and providing technical assistance to local teams. We analyzed quantitative and qualitative data and prepared tailored reports to demonstrate outcomes and support continuous improvement.
Impact: Our evaluation helped align local implementation with broader public health goals, increased data literacy among partners, and strengthened the case for ongoing investment in community-driven health solutions.
Case Study #3
Challenge: In many global contexts, systemic barriers—such as limited access to clean water or affordable nutritious food—drive high rates of malnutrition. One project aimed to better understand dietary patterns and adherence to national food guidelines within an urban South American population.
Our Role: In collaboration with a Chilean University, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of fruit and vegetable intake, combining statistical methods with cultural sensitivity. We also collaborated with local researchers and public health institutions to align data collection with community needs and national dietary goals.
Impact: The research provided critical insight into food nutritional behavior in a rapidly changing food environment. Findings contributed to global knowledge on nutritional behavior and supported ongoing conversations around food policy and public health reform such as nutritional labeling.
